Two Males Stabbed in Saanich

On April 1st, just before midnight, a stabbing was reported to the Saanich Police in the 1000 block of Inverness avenue.

Responding Patrol officers were met with two brothers who were both bleeding. Both victims had been walking in Rutledge Park when they were attacked and stabbed by two males.

Investigators located the suspects in a residence nearby to the park. Both were arrested without incident. One of the suspects still had blood on him at the time of arrest.

Victims initially thought they were being punched when in reality they had been stabbed. Both victims were transported to Victoria General Hospital for treatment. They were released a short time later and were interviewed by Detectives.

A 20 year old Victoria man, identified as Chhorvanna Touch, was arrested and held in custody to appear before a Justice of the Peace. Charges included two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Weapon Possession. Touch is well known to local police agencies.

The second male was charged with a single count of Assault and was released on a Promise to Appear and an Undertaking with conditions.
