Shell Station Robbed

Last night Parkdale Shell station at the corner of Douglas and Saanich was robbed.

Last evening at about 9:30pm, a robbery was reported by the manager of the Parkdale Shell Station at the corner of Douglas street and Saanich road. The lone male entered the station and made a demand for cash. The cash was then grabbed from the till by the robber who then fled. No weapon was produced.

Saanich Police Patrol officers along with a Canine officer, arrived on scene moments later and containment of the area was established. The police service dog was deployed but given the pedestrian traffic, it was unsuccessful.

The male is describes as follows:

  •  Caucasian male, approximately 28yrs
  • Black hooded sweat shirt, sunglasses

Nobody was injured in the robbery and there were no customers in the store. The store manager on duty is being offered support through Greater Victoria Victims Services.

Saanich Police Detectives are now investigating and seeking the assistance of the public. An image of the robber has been posted to the Saanich Police web page and people are encouraged to look at it.
