Not so smart….

Friday night, an officer had occasion to stop a speeding motorist on Carey rd, unfortunately the driver got more then he bargained for.

Just before midnight Friday night, November 11th, an area patrol officer observed a speeding motorist in the 3800 block of Carey rd. Just prior to being released with a verbal warning, the officer noticed a marihuana cigarette tucked behind the driver’s ear.

The driver, a 30 year old Saanich resident, was arrested for possession of marihuana. A search revealed another bag of marihuana, a hidden knife, three cell phones and nearly $1000.00.

The driver was arrested and released on a Promise to Appear for court in the near future.
