Friday afternoon an armed robbery occurred at the vitamin and supplement store at the corner of Gorge and Tillicum.
On Friday, Dec. 11th, 2011, at about 5:30pm, an armed robbery was reported by 911 to the Saanich Police Communications Centre. The call came from the vitamin and supplement store located at the corner of Gorge and Tillicum.
A lone male entered the store and requested an item from the clerk who went to retrieve it. When she was ringing it in, he then produced a knife from his pocket and demanded money. The lone female store clerk provided a quantity of cash to the suspect.
Prior to leaving, the robber apologized to the clerk several times.
The suspect is describes as:
- Caucasian male, late 20’s to early 30’s, thin build
- 5’8″, brown hair, brown eyes
- Black jacket, jeans, runners, red loose fitting knitted toque
The male fled on foot in an unknown direction. Attempts were made to track the suspect with a dog, but due to many pedestrians in the area, was unsuccessful.
