Detectives continue to work on the UVIC break-in and theft that occurred on Jan. 7th.
A total of four frauds initially thought related, have now been reviewed. Two have now been confirmed as unrelated. The other two appear to be connected to the theft of data from the University of Victoria.
The most recent fraud was reported by a current female employee of the university. She had her account accessed on Jan. 12th. This occurred outside the Victoria area.
Detectives believe the second fraud is related to the theft of data reported on Jan. 8th. Work continues with security staff from several major banking institutions.
