VICPD Officer To Be Recognized For Live Saving Efforts While Off Duty

In the late evening hours of May 4, 2013, a serious motorcycle crash took place in the 3200 block of Shelbourne Street.

An off-duty member of the Victoria Police Department was alerted to the scene and attended to render assistance.  Staff Sergeant Conor King selflessly attempted to provide life saving measures to the injured operator of the motorcycle.  Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the 26 year old driver succumbed to his injuries.

Chief Constable Mike Chadwick will be presenting Staff Sergeant King with a Chief Constable Commendation to recognize the effort and high standard of service demonstrated by Staff Sergeant King to the community.
