Three Robberies – Same Suspect?

Since June 25, 2013, there have been a string of robberies at the 7-11 Convenience Store located at Carey Road and Tillicum Road in Saanich.

Investigators believe that the same suspect may be responsible for at least three of the four incidents. Video surveillance from the store has been obtained in each incident. Still photos are attached.

In each of the three incidents, the unknown suspect has entered the store with a weapon and made demands of the staff on shift. The suspect has been successful in obtaining small quantities of cash, as well as small quantities of cigarettes.

In the June 25 incident, the suspect produced a screwdriver; in the September 10 incident, the suspect produced a knife; and in the September 14 incident, the suspect was carrying a tire iron. Thankfully, there have been no injuries to any staff or witnesses during any of these incidents.

The suspect is believed to be a Caucasian male, approximately 25 years in age, between 5’7″ to 5’10” tall, and of average build. In all three incidents, the suspect has worn different items of clothing and has made attempts to cover his face with dark material and sunglasses.
