Bank Robbery at Broadmead Village

UPDATED INFORMATION ON MARCH 14TH MEDIA RELEASE

On March 12, 2016, just after 3:30PM, a bank in the 700 block of Royal Oak Drive was robbed. 

A lone male entered the bank, approached a teller, and demanded money.  No weapon was produced, and after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled out of the bank and jumped into a car that was waiting for him outside the bank. 

Saanich Police were quickly on scene and located the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested however a passenger managed to escape apprehension and is still outstanding.  Police are looking for a suspect who is described as a Caucasian man, 20-30 years old, scratches or scabs on his face, and wearing a blue hooded sweater.

“Right now Detectives from our Major Crime Unit are working with Officers from our Patrol Section and Forensic Identification Section to identify this suspect.” A/Sgt. Jereme Leslie said. “Our Detectives are asking that if you have any information about this robbery to contact us.”
