The Saanich Police are requesting the public’s assistance, and also issuing a warning as a result of recent ongoing Indecent Acts and Sexual Assaults which have occurred in the Gordon Head area.
Starting on July 4, a series of 5 incidents have been reported to police. Two incidents occurred in one afternoon in the Lambrick Park area.
In all the instances, women were targeted by a younger male who was either riding a bicycle or on a skateboard. The male was observed in some of the incidents exposing himself then fleeing the area. However, it two instances the suspect male actually touched the female victims by grabbing them in a sexual manner.
The descriptions of the male as provided by the victims does very somewhat, but the investigators believe the incidents are most likely connected given the proximity and circumstances as reported.
The male is younger, described as 20-30 years of age, Caucasian with either darker skin or a darker complexion and shorter in stature. In the incidents, the male was wearing baseball hats, bandanas, or a green bicycle helmet.
Saanich Police are asking the public to remain vigilant and to contact police if they observe any suspicious behaviour that could be related to this suspect male.
