On June 6, 2017, just before 2:00AM, Saanich Police and the Saanich Fire Department attended the 4300 block of West Saanich Rd for a report of a fire.
Once emergency crews arrived they discovered two vehicles on fire in the parking lot, both vehicles belong to BC Hydro. The fire was extinguished and Saanich Fire Investigators and Saanich Police Investigators have started their investigation.
Investigators are currently attempting to determine the cause of the fire. It appears, at this time, the fire started in one of the vehicles and spread to the other. Damaged is estimated at over $80,000.
Saanich Police are asking that if anyone has any information about the fire or saw anything suspicious at the time to call Saanich Police at 250-475-4321.
