On September 11th2017, just after midnight, a Saanich Police Patrol Officer was stopped at the intersection of Tattersall Ave and Quadra St. As the Officer was about to turn north onto Quadra St he noticed a vehicle north bound on Quadra St approaching the intersection at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle appeared to break hard, mounted the sidewalk, flipped onto its roof and came to rest in some bushes in front of a home in the 3500 block of Quadra St. The Officer immediately attended to the driver, who was the lone occupant, and called in both the Saanich Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service to attend to the driver.
The driver, a 23 year old man from Victoria, was arrested for dangerous driving and released on a Promise to Appear with a first court appearance at the end of October. The driver was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
