B&E Suspects Steal from Donation Bin

On January 22, 2019, at around 2:00AM, two unidentified suspects broke into Tillicum Centre located at 3170 Tillicum Rd in Saanich.  The two suspects were captured on video walking from a loading bay area directly to a large money donation box. One at the donation box the suspects broke the lock and stole and undisclosed amount of cash.  The donation bin contained contributions for Jeneece Place, which is a home where children, and their families, can stay while receiving medical care in Victoria.

“During this Break and Enter it appears as if the donation box was specifically targeted” said Sgt. Jereme Leslie.  “Crimes like this are tremendously appalling as the suspects are stealing funds that are intended for families who are going through a difficult time dealing with medical issues.” 

The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect one – Wearing white hat with blue lid, ski mask, black jacket, black gloves, black pants, black shoes, and carrying a grey back pack.

Suspect two – Wearing a black mask, Blue hoody underneath a red jacket with black shoulder and arms, black pants, black gloves, and black shoes.

Saanich Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call them or, to remain anonymous, to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
