Construction Site Theft Suspects Turn Themselves In

Date: March 2, 2022
File No: 22-01532

Saanich Police have been investigating a theft from a construction site in the 5000 block of Cordova Bay Road that occurred sometime between January 22-24, 2022. After officers obtained some clear CCTV footage of two suspects at the site, they reached out to the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers as an investigative step for assistance in identifying the two persons.

Yesterday evening both suspects turned themselves in to the police, noting that they had seen themselves on the Crime Stoppers posts online. Some of the property was also recovered. Both were released later that night with a court date set for later this year for a charge each of Break and Enter.

“This is the outcome we were hoping for, and they both did the right thing by turning themselves in. Our local Crime Stoppers continues to assist our investigations and we thank them for creating the awareness for this file.”

To make an anonymous report for any police investigation, contact the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-888-222-8477 or visit them online at victoriacrimestoppers.ca.
