Break and enter investigation continues

The investigation into the second floor break-ins continues by members of the Saanich Police Street Crime Unit.

As part of that investigation, a search warrant was executed at the time in the Elk Lake area of Saanich. A large amount of property, believed to have been stolen, was recovered.

Investigators have had good luck in identifying victims of property throughout the region. Yesterday, two bags, a Louis Vuitton and a Gucci, valued at over $2000.00, were identified and returned to their owner. They had been taken from an Oak Bay break-in the Lansdown rd area.

The brand new 55″ Samsung television, publicized in a prior press release, was identified as coming from an Oak Bay break-in and returned to the owner.

An IMac computer, valued at about $1000.00 was identified as coming from a Saanich break-in has also been returned.

Items returned are from break-ins that have occurred from about January 1st this year up until approximately September. Areas targeted were Oak Bay, the Saanich Peninsula, Colwood and the Saanich Ten Mile Point area

Other items yet to be identified include watches, small jewellery items, some personal sets of keys and another Louis Vuitton bag. A binder with photos of the items will be left at the Saanich Police main counter for review by the public or inquiries can be made through Cst Janice Carmena.
