On February 24, 2012 at approximately 1910 hrs a 24 year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing in a marked cross-walk, at the intersection of Douglas St and Saanich Road. The driver was described as female, 50-60 years of age.
She reportedly stopped briefly to offer assistance then drove away northbound Douglas St, without providing her contact details. The vehicle was described as a possibly newer model, dark blue compact car. The pedestrian was transported to Victoria General Hospital with injuries.
