Yesterday, July 10th, in the late morning, charges were sworn at Victoria Provincial Crown alleging that Randy George Scott, 25 years of Victoria, was the individual riding the motorcycle in the well publicized video posted online in April.
The original incident occurred April 6th, at about 4pm in the afternoon on the Trans-Canada highway between McKenzie avenue and Millstream road. The video posted on YouTube shows a blue Yamaha motorcycle travelling at approximately 300km per hour.
The charge is a single count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 249 of the Criminal Code.
