Disturbingly similar break-ins on Monday

Three separate, yet disturbingly similar break-ins were reported on Monday, September 10th. Here are some details:

900 block Portage road: Sept. 10th, 12:55pm- residence reported broken into by way of kicked in front door. Items taken included several sports jersey and various electronics.

3700 block Grange road: Sept. 10th, 2:15pm- unknown male kicked in side door to residence while occupant home. After hearing a knock moments before, the door was then kicked in by an unknown male.

3700 block Grange road: Sept. 10th, 8:30pm- homeowner returned late in the evening to find the residence had been broken into during the day sometime. The front door had been forced open, likely by a shoulder or having been kicked.

In one of these incidents the culprit was confronted by the 20 year old resident and a suspect description was obtained:

• Late 20’s, approximately 6′ in height

• Muscular build

• Blue shirt, blue shiny track pants and a blue bandana

• Black and yellow duffle bag

This serves as a reminder to check your locking mechanisms for your doors. This is your primary defence against these types of attacks.
