Armed Robbery at the Oak Bay Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

On November 30th at approximately 2 pm a lone male suspect entered the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce located at 2224 Oak Bay Avenue demanding cash from the bank tellers. The suspect, who produced a firearm, was provided with an undisclosed amount of cash by the tellers. The suspect then fled the area on foot.

The bank tellers were not injured during the incident, however were visibly shaken.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years, approx. 5’11 to 6 ft, medium build wearing a light colored hoody, jeans and material covering his face.  

Oak Bay Police Uniform Members with the assistance of the Saanich Police Forensics and Major Crime Detectives are investigating the Robbery.

Investigators are requesting anyone who witnessed this event or any suspicious person(s) and/or activity in the area during this time, to call Saanich Police Detectives or Crime Stoppers # 250-386-8477.
