New Saanich Police Deputy Chief Constable Announced

SAANICH, BC. On December 10, 2013, the Saanich Police Board named Inspector Scott Green as Deputy Chief Constable of the Saanich Police, effective February 1, 2014.

Inspector Green began his career with Saanich Police in 1988 and steadily progressed through the ranks and was promoted to Inspector in 2005. He has received the Police Exemplary Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada, has served as Aide de Camp for two Lieutenant Governors, and represents Saanich in the management of several integrated units including acting as officer in charge of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team.

Saanich Police Board Chair Mayor Frank Leonard said, “The members of the Saanich Police Board were impressed with the qualifications and obvious leadership qualities of Inspector Green. His education and his operational and administrative experience will serve Saanich well as we move forward.
