On April 4, 2016 at around 9:00PM the Saanich Police received a report of a cougar being seen on the grounds of the Queen Alexandra Hospital facility located at 2400 Arbutus Rd.
A Saanich Police Patrol Officer was dispatched to the area however was unable to locate the animal. The BC Conservation Officer Service was informed of the reported sighting.
Area residents, parents of children attending school or other programs in the area and people working nearby area advised to be aware of this reported sighting.
