Just after midnight, on Friday October 28, 2016, the Saanich Police and Saanich Fire Department’s received a 911 call about a house fire in the 3000 block of Orillia St.
Saanich Police arrived at the home first and discovered it was unoccupied. Police were able to evacuate the surrounding homes and the Saanich Fire Department managed to suppress the fire. The fire was contained to the rear of the home and no one was injured.
Saanich Fire Investigators and the Saanich Police Forensic Identification Section are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
