Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of Two for Break and Enter 20-7511

On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Saanich Police Patrol and Street Crime officers executed a search warrant on a home in the 3500 block of Shelbourne Street in relation to a bicycle that was stolen from a break and enter into a parking garage not far from this location on April 7, 2020.

Evidence related to the break and enter was located during the search, as well as a dirt bike that was discovered to be stolen, and a small utility trailer that had been reported stolen earlier that day.

Two men aged 60 and 22 years-old were charged with Break and Enter, Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 and are set to appear in court in July.

 

“The Saanich Police have noticed an increase in property-related crime over the past several weeks and have taken additional measures in deterring and investigating these offences,” said Cst. Markus Anastasiades, Public Information and Communication Officer.
