Vehicle Break in results in numerous items stolen from long time Saanich resident 20-13713

At 2 pm on June 21, 2020, Saanich Police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at Saanich Centre (3995 Quadra St). A long time female Saanich resident finished shopping and returned her cart to the designated area. When she returned to her vehicle (only 25 yards away), her purse and belongings had been stolen. Items included but were not limited to: Canadian currency, personal identification, iPhone, sunglasses, keys and jewelry.

 

Of note, a valuable pair of diamond earring were taken. They were of high sentimental value to the family.

 

“Officers from our Patrol Division are investigating this case and we are working hard to recover the items,” stated Kowalewich. “We are reminding residents to always lock your valuables up, no matter how long you may be away from them.”
