On June 28, 2020, just before 4:30 a.m. Saanich Police were alerted to an alarm at a business in the 700 block of Tolmie Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, there were signs that someone had gained entry into the building. An officer then saw a man inside the business that the alarm was coming from.
This officer then began speaking to the man, directed him out of the building and then took him into custody. He is now facing charges of Break and Enter and Theft of Mail.
“The mail he was in possession of belonged to the business he was inside of. He was also in possession of some electronics that investigators are trying to determine the ownership of.”
The 32-year-old man from the Greater Victoria area was later released to appear in court in August.
