Monday afternoon, Street Crime Unit officers raided another grow house.
In the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 9th, 2012, in the 4200 block Douglas street, Saanich Police Street Crime Unit officers raided a marihuana grow house.
Located inside were 400 plus marihuana plants in various stages of growth. It appears the marihuana was seized shortly before harvesting. Officers also seized a Ruger .22 calibre rifle with ammunition. Some handcuffs similar to police issue were also recovered.
Two occupants of the residence, a male 27 yrs and a female 25 years, were safely arrested away from the residence. Both appear to be the only occupants of the rental residence. Neither of the suspects are known to local agencies.
Both will attend court for charges of cultivation and possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.
