On 16, April 2013 at approximately 7:30 pm, police were called to the 1200 Block of Tattersal Drive after an area resident observed what they believed to be a cougar.
Police attended however were unable to locate the animal. There were no visible signs that an animal had been in the area.
The information was forwarded to the media for the information of residents who reside nearby.
The Conservation Office was notified of the possible sighting.
There was no evidence to confirm the possible cougar sighting. However should anyone notice a large cat in the area, they are reminded to use cautioun and to contact police immediately.
