At 0253 hours on September 3, 2021, SPD received a report of an injured male in the 200 Block of the Trans Canada Highway. Patrol officers attended the scene and located a male who was in need of immediate medical attention. Investigators later determined that the incident involved a weapon and that the injuries to the male are considered serious. He is currently in hospital receiving medical care.
Currently, the SPD Major Crime Unit, Forensics Investigations Section and the Patrol Division continue to investigate the incident.
SPD are asking for the public to come forward if they have information or footage to help identify the suspect.“If you were in the area of the Trans-Canada Highway (between Uptown and Tillicum Road) between the hours of 0200 and 0400, we want to connect with you. Any dashcam footage could be helpful. If anyone has information on this incident, please call us,” stated D/Sgt. Damian Kowalewich.
