Both Saanich Athletes Earn Medals at the World Police & Fire Games

Cst. Heather Hunter and Cst. Matt Morin have both recently competed at the World Police & Fire Games in Belfast, Ireland.

Both officers excelled at their sport and have both earned medals for their efforts.  The Saanich Police Department is very proud to have had both of these officers represent our ranks at these events.

Cst. Hunter competed in  the Indoor Rowing event at the games.  After beating her previous best time by seven seconds, Heather earned a Silver Medal for her efforts.

Cst. Morin competed in wrestling competitions at the games.  Matt earned a Silver Medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, as well as a Bronze Medal in Freestyle wrestling.

This is a fantastic result for both of these athletes, especially considering the level of competition that both would have been facing at these events.

Congratulations to both Heather and Matt.
